Open Day 2017

About Open Day 2017

Derian House Children’s Hospice is throwing open its doors to the public in July.

In its first open day since 2014, the hospice in Astley Park, Chorley, is offering visitors a chance to see its amazing grounds and facilities, as well as enjoying a fun-packed family day out with lots of stalls and attractions.

The Open Day will be staged on Sunday, July 9th, from 11am to 4pm, at the hospice in Chancery Road. All are welcome to the free event.

“We would love to offer you a warm Derian House welcome,” said Judy Miller, community fund-raiser for the hospice which offers end-of-life and vital respite care to children and young people with life-limiting medical conditions and life-threatening illnesses. “It will be a great chance to see first-hand just how much we offer to the children and families who rely on us – whether that’s through our facilities, which are second-to-none, or our bespoke care which is tailored to individual needs.”

Visitors on the day will be able to tour the hospice in small groups, led by members of our caring and professional team, as well as enjoy attractions including entertainment and activities; craft stalls; strawberry teas with home-baked scones; live music and dance

Judy added: “We have some truly amazing facilities here at Derian House that we would love to show to the community. Please make a date in your diary for our Open Day on July 9th and pay us a visit to see just what support we offer to children, young people and their families from across the North West.

“It’s a great chance to see what a happy, fun and friendly place Derian House is and what a huge difference your donations make.”
