On Tuesday 14th November at Heatham House, Whitton Rd, Twickenham TW1 1BH, our Motivate Peer Group will be taking part in the annual Parliament Week celebrations, hosting a talk raising awareness about the Barriers and discrimination disabled people face in employment, bringing together our services users, employers and employment support agencies to address key issues.

Parliament week encourages groups and organisations like us to start up a conversation with Parliament on an issue important to us. For more information about parliament week see

The programme (10am-12pm) will include:

1. Opening Remarks (5mins)

2. Speech: Justin Man, Being disabled and trying to find employment (10mins)

3. Voting Exercise (10mins)

4. Break/Refreshments (15mins)

5. Panel Discussion incl. Q&A (45mins) with Jamie Cutler (Job Club)

6. Networking & close (20-30mins)

Looking to hear from people with disabilities about their experience looking for a job or in employment to add insight to the discussion.
