Terms of service
Effective date: 18 January 2026.
1. About the platform
Charity Events UK provides a directory of charity fundraising events and related guidance. We connect supporters with event organisers, charities, and fundraising opportunities.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the site.
3. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or withdraw parts of the site at any time.
4. Event listings and third-party services
Event listings are provided by charities, organisers, and partners. We do not run events unless clearly stated. Always check the organiser’s own pages for the most current information before booking.
Bookings, donations, and payments are typically handled by third parties. Any transactions you make are with the relevant organiser or charity, and their terms will apply.
5. Your responsibilities
- Use the site lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not interfere with site security or performance.
- Provide accurate information when submitting forms.
- Do not upload or submit content that is misleading, offensive, or infringes third-party rights.
6. Intellectual property
All content on Charity Events UK is owned by us or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for personal use, but you must not reproduce, distribute, or exploit site content without permission.
7. User submissions
If you submit content (such as event details, feedback, or enquiries), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for operating and improving the platform. You confirm that you have the right to share that content.
8. Liability
We do our best to keep information accurate, but we do not guarantee that listings or guidance are error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on event listings.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe the site is being used in breach of these terms or in a way that could harm the platform or its users.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
